Broccoli & Cheese Pizza
Soup can be pizza if you're brave enough.
So, uh, does anyone want some broccoli? I have recently come into an abundance of this tree-shaped vegetable.
Earlier this year, I decided to plant some stuff I’ve never tried growing before. I had my doubts about the four broccoli plants, but the green heads finally started showing up down in the middle of the large-leafed plant. And they kept getting bigger.
I never really thought about what I would do with the broccoli if it actually worked. Naturally, I made a pizza with some of it. Broccoli and cheese soup came to mind. Onion jam as the base, then cheddar cheese, broccoli, and more cheddar cheese.
This was a surprisingly good pizza. The broccoli got a nice little char, and it’s obviously great paired with cheddar cheese. French onion soup dip rounded out the experience.
